The API® Rotary Trash Rack Cleaner is a type of fully automated chain trash rack cleaner. It is ideal for cleaning foliage and grass off grills arranged in the intake facilities in small hydroelectric plants, irrigation canals or pump stations. The rotary trash rack cleaner's cleaning action is carried out by scraper rakes that move together with the chain, adhering to the grill and thereby intercepting and lifting leaves, algae and branches up to the highest point where they fall behind the grill. Frame, main components, chains and rakes are made of S275 steel. Hot-dip galvanisation (ISO 1461) is applied to ensure long-lasting operation of the machine outdoors. The switchgear and control panel are supplied loose to be installed locally in the most convenient position.
